Ben Chandler Wastes Tax Dollars Advertising Outside His District

We have received reports from readers of the Lexington Herald-Leader outside the 6th District that Ben Chandler has a four-page, full-color insert in today's paper (Friday, Dec. 21).

Since the Herald-Leader zones its inserts to various circulation areas, we have to wonder why, exactly, Chandler is advertising and sending a constituent survey to people who live outside his district.

Had he opted to run for governor, we'd view this very cynically. As it is, we only view it with a medium amount of cynicism.

Too bad we can't get Congress to investigate this waste of tax dollars before the Pelosi Brigade charges into Washington, D.C.

Ben Chandler is reaching out a hand to those of us effectively unrepresented. I, for instance, have to suffer the incompetence and ineffectiveness of Geoff Davis, others have to suffer with Ron Lewis. When my district wants something I'm calling Chandler.

That's BS and you know it.

Either the H-L screwed up and inserted the flyers in papers not intended for Chandler's counties, or he intentionally overbought for political reasons to increase his name recognition.

You are represented just fine by Geoff Davis. He just happens to have a better political compass than you do.

It will be interesting to see if Chandler put this insert in any of the weekly papers in his district, or the small dailies.

You're wrong, K-Pac. There are a lot of projects in my district that will need the aid of an effective congressman. We will be going to Chandler for his help and we'll make sure credit is given to him for there success. Davis nor Lewis could get a Capitol Hill parking pass out of committee. John Yarmuth, too, will be receiving calls from KY-4 for help in getting funding for needed development.

Chandler is just another politician. This guy has been on the gubbament-cheese payroll since he got out of college, living off the legacy of his grandfather's name.

His socialist policies speak volumes.

If some one does not point him to the correct location/desination Chandler could not fing any location within Kentucky except for the golden triangle. I bet both of the posters above where from the "affluent areas as well". Rural Kentucky will never support Chandler.
