Mark Nickolas loses it!

Kentucky GOP Desperation or Kentucky GOP Desperation

If you follow Kentucky politics, you know who Mark Nickolas is.

The campaign manager of two failed Kentucky gubernatorial campaigns, the California Carpetbagger has started his bluegrassreport.org Web site with the primary purpose of bashing Ernie Fletcher and a secondary purpose of bashing any other Republican or conservative.

The California Carpetbagger thinks that Kentucky state employees, have, or should have, a constitutional right to waste time at work and violate the state's Internet acceptable use policies by having unlimited access to his blog while they are at work. It's not enough that they be allowed to read it on their own time. Nickolas wants them to read his Fletcher-bashing garbage while they should be doing the taxpayers' business.

Nickolas started a Web site oriented at drafting Ken Lucas to run for Congress against incumbent Geoff Davis, so Lucas' candidacy has become somewhat of Issue 1-A to Issue 1, which is Fletcher-bashing.

Well today, Nickolas lost it in his response to a Republican Party of Kentucky mailing promoting Davis.

Nickolas suggests that his lemmings e-mail RPK Chair Darrell Brock and complain about what the California Carpetbagger contends are falsehoods in the direct-mail piece. He posts Brock's e-mail address and he even posts the work telephone number of the district GOP party chair, which is definitely stepping across that line.

Well, turnabout is fair play.

Perhaps conservatives and Republicans should e-mail the California Carpetbagger at mark@bluegrassreport.org and tell him they are sick of someone from California purporting to know more about Kentucky politics than do lifelong Kentuckians and that he has standing to tell them how they should conduct themselves politically.

And perhaps they should help enlighten Nickolas to the truth by putting some attachments on their e-mails.

I think that a three-hour MP3 of the Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh shows each day, encoded at 320 kbps, would be a nice start. That way we could be sure that he hears the shows in high-quality audio.

Just doing our part to educate the politically challenged and intellectually deficient folks who move to Kentucky and claim they plan to stay here for awhile. :-D

Speaking of carpet bagger, how about that Geoff Davis??

Davis was born in French Canada and grew up in Pittsburg.

To make matters worse, he roots for the Steeler over the Bengals.

Davis' birthplace and the place where he grew up are irrelevant. He was duly elected by the people of his district in which he resides.

Nickolas was brought here by Jody Richards to run a campaign. Because Jody overachieved and Ben Chandler underachieved in the primary, Chandler hired Nickolas. And now he's stayed and he thinks he is the guru of Kentucky politics.

Yeah, YOUR carpetbagger is irrelevant, but Nickolas is shameful!

Love those relativist ethics. Or is ethics the wrong word?

Bet ya delete this post. Can't have anyone disputing your anonyous word, now can we?

If you're so smart, why can't you sign your name to this inanity?
