Unhappy days are here again

Yesterday, we decried the abundance of Democrat political hacks that make up Steve Beshear's transition team chairs as he prepares to take power next month.

After seeing the political lineage of this bunch of clown in print, we're aghast.

This crew of hacks traces its political lineage all the way back to John Y. Brown. Every Democrat administration since 1979 is represented here. Plus, there are members with direct connections to Greg Stumbo and Crit Luallen.

Although it's a relief to know that most of these yahoos won't end up with permanent jobs, what we've seen so far out of Beshear in his first three days as governor-elect gives us absolutely NO confidence that he can achieve anything positive for this state.

Getting rid of the old guard was what we as a state voted for in 2003. Now, four years later, we've brought back the same crowd that has held us back from acheiving positive things for this state for decades.

The tragic part is that many Republicans in this state, including some prominent ones, had major contributing roles in this massive regression to the bad old days.

Yep, they sure are thanks to a handful of defiant Republicans like yourselves. Congratulations. Hope you enjoy the Beshear Administration.

PS: Looks like Trey didn't need your votes anyway.

Give Beshear a break! he and Billy G should have at least a short honeymoon. I know that you Fletcherites are mad at those who did not buy into his holier than thou attitude and supported Northup If you had listened to us about Fletcher's electability, instead of Larry Forgy and Brett Hall, things might have turned out differently on Tuesday!

Carol Palmore has been named to the Beshear transition team for personnel? What a joke. Click this link(http://ethics.ky.gov/SUM2003.htm)

to see advisory opinion 03-07 and 03-08 that rebuked the Patton Administration for abusing the merit system. And Palmore was the Patton's personnel head when it was all happening. Unbelievable.

Steve Beshear appointed former Patton Personnel Cabinet Secretary Carol Palmore to head his personnel transition team. That's like the farmer appointing the fox to guard the henhouse.

In 2003 the Executive Branch Ethics Commission issued advisory opinions 03-07 and 03-08 which rebuked Patton for abusing the merit system. In 03-08, the commission found that county patronage chiefs merely called the Patton office and refered people for merit positions.

Patton's people then called the various government agencies to tell them who to hire. Palmore was the person who was supposed to keep that from happening.

Beshear's appointment of Palmore has to be a joke, or Beshear is to stupid to be Governor or Beshear thinks that the liberal press will run cover for him on this.

2:34 PM Nov. 9, while honeymoons are fine for basketball coaches (and we're willing to give Billy G. the benefit of the doubt), this is the future of Kentucky we are talking about. No honeymoon for Beshear. We must step up and oppose his horrible policies and his regressive personnel decisions on top advisers and transition coordinators.
